Video: Day Goes From Bad to Worse For Denny Hamlin After Crash With Cody Ware

Denny Hamlin Cody Ware crash Dover 2022
Denny Hamlin suffered some damage after an accident with Cody Ware in the second half of Monday’s NASCAR Cup race at Dover.

It’s been a strange season for Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin. Hamlin, who scored a win at Richmond Raceway, has not finished inside the top-10 in any other race this season.

Despite having one of the fastest cars at Dover Motor Speedway, it looks like he will fail to score a top-10 again, as he was involved in an accident with Cody Ware on lap 243 of Monday’s race.

The contact peeled the passenger side of Hamlin’s car.

Hamlin won Stage 1 earlier in the day, and it looked like he had a car to contend for the win. Then, in the Stage break caution following Stage 1, the wheel flew off of Hamlin’s car on the exit of pit road.
