Spencer Boyd was a little worse for wear following Friday night’s wild NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In a last lap scrum, Boyd was swept up in an accident that also involved John Hunter Nemechek, Jordan Anderson and Grant Enfinger.
In the crash, Boyd received an injury. On the radio, he told his team he thought he may have broken his arm, but upon being checked out in the infield care center, Boyd told FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass that he dislocated his shoulder in the crash.

“I’ve never really gotten hurt before. When I hit the inside wall, I was like, ‘Woah,’ not really sure what happened,” Boyd explained. “I know someone got into my right rear and I was just kind of saving it down through the infield. Once you get into the dust, it took off. I didn’t break my arm, but I did dislocate my shoulder. It was hard to get out of the truck with one arm.”
Boyd, 26, finished 28th and sits 16th in the NCWTS driver standings after Las Vegas.
Boyd confirmed with Pockrass that he will head to the hospital for x-rays just to confirm no further injury other than the dislocated shoulder.

For Anderson, who drives and owns his own truck and slammed head-on into Nemechek’s No. 4 truck, he was confused why NASCAR didn’t throw a caution before he was involved in the last lap chaos.

“…just trying to survive and I think we were en route to probably a nice top-20. We didn’t have a scratch on it,” Anderson said. “One wrecks off turn 2, one wrecks on the backstretch, John Hunter is in the middle of the track and I don’t know why NASCAR decided not to throw a caution. It happened two or three times tonight. I guess they just didn’t think it was necessary to throw a caution with cars all over the track.”
Enfinger finished 24th after his No. 23 truck went up into flames after cutting a tire on the final lap. Nemechek somehow finished the race, after the massive hit from Anderson, in 26th. And Anderson came home in 27th.
