Video: What Does a Single Lug Nut Pit Stop Look Like in NASCAR, Teams Practiced Them at Charlotte

There has been a lot of angst about whether NASCAR pit stops will look the same or not with the new single lug nut wheels on the Next Gen car in 2022.

Thursday, at Charlotte Motor Speedway, teams gave the new pit stops a try. Here is video of Corey LaJoie’s No. 7 Spire Motorsports team trying them out:

And here is how a pitstop with the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports team looked from the NASCAR live feed:

Interesting vid….they don’t appear to have even broken a sweat (I know that is false, but still)…..left rear tire changer had to wait to remove the tire until the jackman could get the car off the ground….I hope we get some pit stop times in the first races so we can compare them later on when they get really good at it.
