Video: Ty Gibbs Frustrated by Harrison Burton, Sends Teammate into Wall on Final Lap of Stage 2

Ty Gibbs, Harrison Burton get into it on the final lap of Stage 2. Screengrab from NBC race broadcast.

Ty Gibbs has not driven like a rookie all season long, despite being 18-years old and logging the first NASCAR Xfinity Series races of his career. But at the end of Stage 2 in Saturday’s Drive for the Cure 250 at the Charlotte Roval, Gibbs made an aggressive move on his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Harrison Burton.

Burton is currently in a battle for the final Playoff spot.

Gibbs said on the radio that Burton had cleared himself several times on that lap alone, which is what caused Gibbs to send Burton into the wall coming off the final turn of Stage 2.
