Kevin Harvick had a shot at his first win of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season in the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol, but Chase Elliott — who was mad at Kevin Harvick for cutting his tire earlier in the race — held him up and allowed Kyle Larson to go to the lead and the win.

Following the race, the two drivers got a bit heated on pit road and the garage.

After this scrum, Harvick and Elliott took the conversation to the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports team hauler a little bit later.

Here is video of the second heated chat between Harvick and Elliott:

After the initial conversation, Harvick was quite heated.

“Any time you run into him, it’s a problem,” Harvick said after the race, which was met with boos from the fans in attendance.

“They can boo all they want. I don’t care,” Harvick exclaimed.

Harvick would go on to say he was so mad, he was ready to fight.

“God damn, I’m ready to rip someone’s freaking head off right now,” Harvick shouted.

For Elliott, the contact that led to his tire being cut while battling Harvick for the lead wasn’t a one-time incident.

“It’s something he does all the time,” Elliott stated of Harvick to a smattering of applause. “He runs into your left side constantly at other tracks. Sometimes it cuts your left side, other times it doesn’t.

“He did it to me a couple of weeks ago at Darlington, because he was tired of racing me. Whether he did it on purpose, it doesn’t matter. At some point you have to draw the line. I don’t care who he is, or how long he’s been doing it.”

So, what did Harvick tell Elliott in the heated scrum?

“I just told him it was kind of a chicken shit move that he did there at the end,” Harvick seethed. “You know we’re racing for the fricking win at Bristol. We’re three wide racing for the lead and he throws a temper tantrum.”

What a wild turn of events with Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott, two of the best in the sport getting into it at Bristol.
