During the opening round of qualifying for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Jockey Made in America 250 at Road America, trouble struck Bubba Wallace and the No. 23 23XI Racing team.

A mechanical failure, potentially transmission related, happened, which brought the car to a halt.

Wallace ranked 36th in qualifying, as he was unable to turn a full timed lap. But now for 23XI Racing, the focus shifts to diagnosing and correcting the problem before the race at 2:30 PM ET.

Will they get the car repaired in time to take the green flag?
