Daniel Dye has joined GMS Racing’s ARCA Menards Series program for select races in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East, the organization announced on Monday Afternoon.

Dye – who was scheduled to run full-time in the ARCA Menards Series East for Ben Kennedy Racing — will make his GMS debut in the series’ next event at Southern National Motorsports Partk on June 12.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to drive for GMS Racing this season. The history of success GMS has had, with multiple wins and championships over the last few seasons, speaks for itself,” said Dye. “I’m excited to continue learning and growing throughout the season, and hopefully, we’ll collect a couple wins along the way.”

The 17-year-old will pilot the GMS Racing entry at Southern National, Elko, Berlin, Iowa, Winchester, Milwaukee, Bristol and Phoenix, while also joining Chevrolet’s Drivers Edge Development program, which features industry-leading physical and mental training, engineering and technical support, simulation time, enhanced social media exposure and more.

“GMS is excited about Daniel (Dye) joining our ARCA program,” said Mike Beam, president of GMS Racing. “He has shown promise so far in his young career and we are looking forward to watching his continued growth in the 21 this season.”

Dye’s first run with GMS Racing will mark the fifth race of the 2021 ARCA Menards Series East season and will be broadcasted live on NBC Sports Gold TrackPass at 8PM / EST on June 12.
