Video: Todd Gilliland Crashes Hard in Five-Truck Accident at Daytona

Man, when things happen at Daytona, they happen in a hurry. One second, Todd Gilliland is battling for a position in the top-five. A moment later, he gets a tap from Matt Crafton, which sends him spinning.

Gilliland took a huge shot head-on with Tate Fogleman and he collected Stewart Friesen and Brett Moffitt got some damage as well.

Gilliland was checked and released from the infield care center following the wild accident.

Friesen was visibly angry as he was pounding the top of his truck after climbing out of the window following the crash.

“It was extremely difficult. Extremely frustrating,” Friesen said. “It seemed like the tires were wearing out and we were losing grip — at least our truck wasn’t really in the track. We didn’t execute a smart strategy to try to survive the race. We got ourselves into a bad spot.”
