For the second consecutive season, Joey Gase will return to Rick Ware Racing’s NASCAR Cup Series lineup for the 2021 season, beginning with 63rd annual DAYTONA 500 at Daytona International Speedway on February 14th.

“I am very excited to be racing for Rick Ware Racing again this year in the NASCAR Cup Series. Lisa and Rick treat us like family. Caitlin and I even take Carson and Jace to the shop and let them run around and play. It’s an awesome family atmosphere,” said Gase. “We learned a lot together as a team last season, with some high notes and low notes, but I am really looking forward to see what 2021 has in store, as we are all doing big things to take the whole team to the next level.”

The Cedar Rapids, Iowa-native competed full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for the organization last season, scoring a season-best – and career-best — 17th-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway last October.

Gase is well-known for his role in bringing awareness to organ donation through his OPO and Donate Life partners across the United States. The organization will welcome back Gase’s OPO and Donate Life partners, as well as Page Construction, The Legacy Charitable Fund, and more partners that will be revealed at a later date.

“I am excited to have Joey Gase back at Rick Ware Racing for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season.” commented team owner Rick Ware. “Joey has been a part of the Rick Ware Racing family for a couple of years and has always been great with finding creative ways to bring awareness to causes that mean a lot to him personally, and many across the world.”

Rick Ware Racing will field the No. 15, No. 51, No. 52 and No. 53 entries full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series next season, with Gase being the first driver to be officially announced to the team’s roster. No car number was announced for Gase’s effort in the 63rd annual DAYTONA 500.
