Video: Bubba Wallace Turned by McDowell, Crashes Hard While Running Third in All Star Open Race

Bubba Wallace looked like he may race his way into the 2020 NASCAR All Star Race at Bristol through the Open race, rather than having to fall back on the fan vote.

Wallace had just worked his way around Michael McDowell for third position late in Stage 1, when McDowell just turned left and hooked Wallace. This sent Wallace’s No. 43 hard into the wall and his night is done.

Wallace will not be able to make the All Star Race with the fan vote, either, as you have to have your car in running order at the end of the Open event to advance that way.
