Video: Ryan Newman Speaks in Phoenix Garage Says, ‘It’s Great to be Alive’
Ryan Newman was walking through the Phoenix Raceway garage on Friday, when the media snagged their first conversation with Newman since his frightening Daytona 500 crash.
“It’s great to be alive,” Newman said. “After looking at my car, it’s a miracle.”
When asked when he might return to racing, Newman said, “I have no idea about anything. I’m here to spectate and have some fun.”
Newman went on to say he feels fine and he even shot his patented humor by asking, “Do I look okay?”
While carrying a can of Coca-Cola on his stroll through the garage area, Newman explained he is simply on hand to give his No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing team support and enjoy watching some racing.
