Jeb Burton Takes Stage 1 Win at Daytona After Snider Dominates

JR Motorsports’ Jeb Burton won Stage 1 of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series NASCAR Racing Experience 300 at Daytona International Speedway. Burton led the final three laps of the Stage.

Burton’s JRM teammates Michael Annett, Justin Allgaier and Noah Gragson ended the Stage in second thru fourth.

Justin Haley finished fifth in the Stage in the Kaulig Racing Chevrolet.

Austin Cindric was sixth in the No. 22 Team Penske Ford Mustang.

Myatt Snider, who dominated the Stage in leading 23 of the 30 laps from the pole, wound up seventh in the Stage.

Harrison Burton, Alex Labbe and Chase Briscoe rounded out the top-10 and scored Stage points in the process.

The Stage was relatively clean overall. The only actual driving incident was a spin by Caesar Bacarella on lap one, but he spun to pit road and corrected it without causing damage. No caution was called.

The only yellow flag came when Jeremy Clements’ hood exploded (Watch video of incident here) on his No. 51 car with about 10 laps left in the Stage.
