Video Emerges of Scary Scene Just After Earnhardt’s Plane Crashed

Another video from Scott Reis on Facebook also shows the frantic escape from the plane.

UPDATE 1:00 PM ET: The Facebook video that was showing Dale Earnhardt Jr., his family and two pilots escape from their flaming plane has either been taken down from Facebook or placed into a private setting where it is no longer able to be viewed.

There are so many ifs ands and buts that could have led to a much more horrifying scenario with the plane crash that involved the Earnhardt family Thursday at Elizabethton Municipal Airport. But just how scary of a situation it was is now crystal clear as a new video has surfaced on facebook from Lacey Pasquale who was filming just after the plane had crashed and caught fire on the runway.

In the eerie video you can clearly see Dale Earnhardt Jr., Amy Earnhardt, Isla Earnhardt and their dog Gus escape the flaming plane.

The Earnhardt’s and their two pilots escaped serious injury and are all back home safe. Earnhardt is taking the weekend off — understandably so — from his NBC Sports reporting duties.
