Video: Jimmie Johnson in Trouble Early at Michigan

Jimmie Johnson was running with Clint Bowyer for the 10th position, when he slapped the wall. Johnson’s tire went down and he would have to head to pit road.

After his team feverishly changed tires and repaired damage, Johnson returned to the track, and was more than a lap off the pace and in a precarious position on the brink of missing the 2019 NASCAR Playoffs. A few laps later, Johnson would return to pit road for more repairs and he now sits more than three laps down.
