Mamba Smith Teaming With Bryan Rogers, Attempting to Make Third Snowflake 100 Start

While Mamba Smith may not get the chance to race as much as he would like to these days, the 29-year old driver will look to make the field in one of the most prestigious races of the year in the Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway.

Smith says his friends always scratch their heads when he comes off the bench, essentially, to attempt to impress in one of the toughest short track fields of the year.

“All of my friends always tell me, ‘You can’t do that, Mamba. The competition is too tough to just come in cold turkey at the Snowflake,’ but the way I see it, if I’m going to measure myself against the best, this is the only way I can make it happen, currently,” Smith said. “Not only that, but when you factor in the return of investment for everybody involved, this is the best place to give that to them.”

Smith, who hails from Vermont, has made two previous appearances in the Snowflake 100 (2018 and 2020) and he will attempt to make his third start in the event as he drives for Bryan Rogers in the No. 34 entry.

The car will carry a ton of sponsorship partners as Elliott’s Custom Trailers, Fatheadz Eyewear, Airbox, E3 Sparkplugs, Radford Racing School, Truly’s Seltzer, Flow Coating, Off Axis Paint, Simpson and Circle Track Warehouse will all play a hand in giving Smith a strong chance of making the field yet again.

“For me, it’s takes a lot to put these together, and takes a lot of people. So, every time I have the people and partners to make this happen, it means a lot,” Smith explained. “We don’t get to do it a lot, but when we can compete on the biggest stage in short track racing, it’s special.”

When Smith is not mixing it up on the race track, he stays busy these days in a plethora of motorsports media obligations including managing his own company Mamba Media.

Smith is a frequent co-host of the Off the Record Podcast as well as Backseat Drivers and Twitter Spaces with NASCAR.

The duo of Smith and Rogers teamed at Hickory Motor Speedway back in May to score a seventh-place finish in the 19-car Carolina Pro Late Model field.

Now, Smith and Rogers will look to work their way into the field for the 2021 Snowflake 100. If they can accomplish that, Smith will attempt to secure his best finish in his career at the event, which is currently a 23rd-place effort in 2018.
