Harrison Burton picked a heck of a day to collect his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series pole position. A couple of hours after he was announced as the 2026 driver of the No. 24 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota, the driver charged to the pole position behind the wheel of the No. 25 AM Racing Ford for Saturday’s IAA and Ritchie Bros. 250 at Martinsville Speedway.
Burton turned a fast lap of 19.843 seconds (95.429 mph), which was 0.005 seconds faster than Carson Kvapil, the second-fastest qualifier.
Aric Almirola, Justin Allgaier, and Sheldon Creed rounded out the top-five fastest in the session.
The lone driver, of the 39 that took a qualifying lap, to go home is Preston Pardus.
