Shane van Gisbergen had a heck of a challenge in the form of Chase Briscoe in the closing laps of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, but in the end, he had just enough pace to hang on for the race win.
SVG took his eighth career win in Sunday’s race as he held off Briscoe by a margin of 0.357 seconds.
Ty Gibbs, Kyle Larson, and Christopher Bell rounded out the top-five finishers in the race.
