Jeb Burton was one of the first drivers to hit the racetrack during Friday’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series practice from Phoenix Raceway, and it paid off, giving the Jordan Anderson Racing driver the fastest time in the session.
Laying down a lap time of 27.728 seconds (129.833mph), Burton led the 50-minute practice over Austin Hill, Dean Thompson, Harrison Burton, and Rajah Caruth.
Chandler Smith was sixth, with Nick Sanchez, Taylor Gray, Jesse Love, and Brent Crews rounding out the top-10.
Many of the drivers at the top of the speed charts in practice made it there because of the early running in the session, with the NTT IndyCar Series rubber being on the racetrack from the session’s three practice sessions earlier in the day.
Qualifying for the GOVX 200 at Phoenix Raceway will immediately follow the session on The CW App.
