Daniel Suarez led the way in single-lap speed in NASCAR Cup Series practice for Sunday’s Straight Talk Wireless 500 at Phoenix Raceway. Suarez turned a fast lap of 26.877 seconds (133.944 mph), which allowed him to top Carson Hocevar, his Spire Motorsports teammate, by 0.084 seconds.

Chase Briscoe, Ross Chastain, and Austin Cindric rounded out the top-five fastest drivers in the practice session around the 1-mile oval.
