Oh no. After winning Stages 1 and 2 in Friday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200 at Las Vegas, 2021 Truck Series champion Ben Rhodes went hard into the outside wall on the frontstretch with 28 laps to go.
Rhodes was sent into the wall after contact from his teammate Ty Majeski, who had just gotten sideways before the incident.

Fortunately, Rhodes was able to climb from the truck and was later evaluated and released from the infield care center.
Rhodes didn’t have much to say about the incident, but said that the post-race team debrief at ThorSport should be interesting.
By crashing after winning both Stages 1 and 2, Rhodes continued a strange trend in 2022, where drivers that have swept Stages 1 and 2 in the NASCAR National Serie have all gone on to crash in the event.
Joseph Srigley of TobyChristie.com tweeted about the oddity.
Seriously though… what is it this season with a driver winning the first two stages, only to be involved in an accident in the third stage.
