Max Gutierrez, who turned the 17th-fastest lap of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series qualifying Friday at Nashville Superspeedway and Trey Hutchens, who had secured the 29th starting spot, each had their qualifying times disallowed at the conclusion of the qualifying session.

Following qualifying, both trucks failed post-qualifying tech as the trucks measured too low on the height sticks. As a result, Hutchens will now be bounced from the starting field and Gutierrez will have to start in the rear of the field.

As a result of Hutchens missing the race, Chase Janes will now slot into the field in the 35th position. Janes was unable to make a qualifying lap in the No. 46 G2G Racing machine, and it looked like he would be going home, until the inspection bay changed it all for him and his team.

Gutierrez will make his second start of the NCWTS season, this time in the No. 22 AM Racing entry, as Austin Wayne Self continues to take time away to spend with his wife and first child.

This race will mark the second start of Janes’ career as well.

Hutchens had made one prior start this season, but he’ll now have to wait for the second start of his 2022 NCWTS campaign.

Additionally, Derek Kraus’ No. 19 truck was found to have an improperly installed weight ballast. As a result, Kraus’ crew chief Shane Wilson has been suspended for Friday night’s race and Kraus and the No. 19 team will be docked 10 driver and owner points.

However, Kraus will keep his starting position (fifth).
