Ross Chastain post race care center trip truck series race texas motor speedway
Ross Chastain tweeted this photo and said he was, “feeling like a million bucks,” after a post-race infield care center trip following the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas.

He very well may go on to win $1-million in this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway, but Ross Chastain tweeted that he was, “Feeling like a million bucks,” after a post-race trip to the infield care center on Friday night.

Chastain was running amongst the leaders for the majority of the race in the SpeedyCash.com 220 at Texas, but in the closing laps, his truck faded, but he was still able to hang on for a 12th-place finish for the No. 41 Niece Motorsports team.

According to an original report FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass, Chastain fainted upon exiting the truck at the conclusion of the race, but after Pockrass spoke to Chastain, Chastain says he did not faint.

Rather, Chastain says his legs cramped, which led to him to fall to the ground.

Once Chastain got back to his feet, he was loaded on a medical cart and taken to the infield care center for an IV. Joey Barnes, of TobyChristie.com, snapped a shot of Chastain on his way to the care center.

Roughly 45 minutes later, Chastain shared his update that he was feeling much better in the infield care center post IV.

Joining Chastain in the infield care center for a post-race IV was fellow Niece Motorsports driver Dean Thompson. Thompson replied to Chastain with his own photo from the care center:

Scary moment, but the 29-year old, who has two NASCAR Cup Series wins this season (tied for most in the series) is okay after a tough race on a very warm night in Fort Worth, Texas.

Now, Chastain will aim to smash a Watermelon in Sunday night’s NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race.
