Travis Pastrana is set to add another event onto his already busy ‘Speedweeks’ schedule, competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Pastrana, a globally-recognized motorsports figure, will pilot the No. 41 WWEX Racing Chevrolet Silverado at the 2.5-mile superspeedway, a third entry for long-time NASCAR Truck Series organization Niece Motorsports.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Al [Niece], Cody [Efaw] and the Niece Motorsports crew quite a bit since the team was formed,” said Pastrana. “I was looking to be part of as much racing as possible during Daytona Speedweeks this year and couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to drive their 41 truck with support from WWEX Racing in my first Daytona start in the Truck Series.”

Black Rifle Coffee Company, the primary marketing partner for Pastrana’s bid to qualify for the Daytona 500 in a third entry for 23XI Racing, will also serve as a partner of the 39-year-old’s reunion with Niece Motorsports. Dixxon and Wienerschnitzel will also support Pastrana’s effort in the No. 41 Chevrolet Silverado.

“Cody [Efaw] was my car chief when I raced Daytona for my first time in the Xfinity Series. We qualified third and finished 10th, despite being backward across the grass when I crossed the line! We have an amazing team with amazing sponsors like Worldwide Express/WWEX Racing, Black Rifle, Dixxon, and Wienerschnitzel. As always, we are approaching the race with optimism that we have the package to put in a great result, while having the most fun of anyone at the track.”

Since making his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in 2012, where he scored a career-best 15th-place finish, the Annapolis, Maryland-native has amassed a total of five starts in the series – all coming at either Las Vegas Motor Speedway or Kansas Speedway.

Pastrana’s latest run in the NASCAR Truck Series, came in the form of a two-race schedule for Niece Motorsports in 2023, where he scored finishes of 21st and 22nd.

Between 2012 and 2013, Pastrana gained the bulk of his NASCAR National Series experience from competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, primarily for Roush Fenway Racing, where he scored a pole position, and four top-10 finishes.

When Pastrana straps into the No. 41 Chevrolet Silverado for the series’ sole practice at the 2.5-mile superspeedway, it will mark the first time that the former Roush Fenway Racing driver has piloted a Truck Series entry on a superspeedway.

Pastrana is set to join Carson Hocevar and Lawless Alan, Niece Motorsports’ two full-time competitors for the 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, as part of the organization’s three-truck lineup for the season-opening event at Daytona.

Worldwide Express will serve as a full-season sponsor of the No. 41 Chevrolet Silverado in 2023, as part of its WWEX Racing program, as Niece Motorsports looks to capture the Owner’s Championship with its rotation entry.

The No. 41 Worldwide Express Chevrolet Silverado will be fielded full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2023, as an ‘All-Star’ Entry. Ross Chastain, Chad Chastain, and Bayley Currey, among others, will pilot the entry throughout the season.
