After spending two-plus hours watching the skies in anticipation of finding a window without significant precipitation, NASCAR has made the call to postpone Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The Alsco Uniforms 300 will take place on Monday, May 29th at Noon ET, with coverage being provided by FS1, PRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).

Despite having one close call around 1:00 pm ET, the field was prohibited from firing engines on Saturday due to the poor weather, meaning Justin Allgaier is still scheduled to lead the field to green, after winning the pole by a healthy margin on Friday.

John Hunter Nemechek and Ty Gibbs will start the race from second and third, while Cole Custer and Brandon Jones are also scheduled to be starting the event inside the top five.

With the NASCAR Xfinity Series event set for Monday, Kyle Busch and Ty Gibbs – the two drivers set to run double-duty at Charlotte – will have to stick around the track for another day, as the series runs their 12th event of 2023 on Monday.
