It has been a treacherous weekend at Nashville Superspeedway for NASCAR teams, and the NASCAR Cup Series drivers and teams will hope the 1.333-mile oval in Lebanon, Tennessee will be kind to them.
So far this weekend, four NASCAR Cup Series drivers have gone for spins in the on-track activity as Kyle Busch got things started with a spin in practice on Friday afternoon.
Then on Saturday, three different drivers went for wild rides during NASCAR Cup Series qualifying. Corey LaJoie spun in Round 1, and slapped the outside wall, while Daniel Suarez and Bubba Wallace went for spins in Round 2.
Suarez suffered enough damage to warrant a backup car, so while he will be credited with the 10th starting spot, he’ll drop to the rear before the green flag.
Ross Chastain, Suarez’s Trackhouse Racing teammate, will roll from the pole in Sunday’s race, and Tyler Reddick — Wallace’s teammate — will start from the outside of row 1.
