Julia Landauer is back. The 30-year-old racer will be making her second-career NASCAR Xfinity Series start driving the No. 44 Alpha Prime Racing entry in the upcoming Contender Boats 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

According to a release from Alpha Prime, Landauer will carry primary sponsorship from ATEM Car Club, a Web3 Community, with additional sponsorship from Shift Up Now, OnChainMonkey, and House of First’s Remarkable Women NFT.

Landauer’s NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at New Hampshire Motor Speedway didn’t go as planned as she suffered major damage on lap 36 after contact from Justin Allgaier sent her crashing. Landauer’s day would end after a second incident on lap 99.

There was hope that Landauer could record a solid top-20 effort in her debut with her past experience at NHMS, but circumstances dictated a different outcome.

“I’m really happy we were able to put together another race with Alpha Prime Racing this year,” said Landauer. “Although New Hampshire didn’t go the way we had hoped, I learned a lot, had fun in the car, and I can’t wait to get on a bigger racetrack.”

Alpha Prime Racing is ready to give her a do-over as well.

“I’m happy to give Julia another chance with Alpha Prime,” said Tommy Joe Martins, GM of Alpha Prime Racing. “It’s a big opportunity for her to continue to grow and improve going into 2023.”

Landauer, who competed in Survivor: Caramoan in 2013, isn’t new to the racing game. The native of New York competed against a stacked field of drivers during the 2016 NASCAR K&N West Series.

Landauer finished fourth in the championship standings that season, behind only Todd Gilliland, a current NASCAR Cup Series rookie contender, Ryan Partridge and Noah Gragson, who has won seven NASCAR Xfinity Series races this season and is set for a move to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2023.

Behind Landauer in the championship standings, that year were current NASCAR National Series competitors Riley Herbst, Blaine Perkins, and Jesse Iwuji, who all ran the full-time schedule.

Landauer also had stints behind the wheel in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series in Canada as well as the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.

In recent years, Landauer had moved into public speaking and in an interview with TobyChristie.com, she admitted that she feared that her racing aspirations had come to an end. That is, until the opportunity to drive for Alpha Prime Racing came about this year.
