Greg Van Alst has been transported to a local area hospital for further evaluation after a massive impact on the fronstretch at Talladega Superspeedway in a multi-car crash at Lap 92 of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Love’s RV Stop 250.

In the middle of a slew of trucks that were all crashing, Van Alst was turned head-on into the outside wall, and as he collided with the outside wall, all four tires of his car lifted off of the ground.

Here are replays of the hard crash, and multi-truck melee:

Per the Young’s Motorsports account on X, formerly Twitter, Van Alst exited his No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado under his own power. He was then transported to the infield care center at Talladega Superspeedway, where the decision was made that Van Alst would undergo further evaluation at the hospital.

Van Alst, 42, is the second driver that was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation after scary crashes marred Saturday afternoon’s race, which was won by Brett Moffitt.

Stewart Friesen, a full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor, was transported to the hospital after a hard crash on Lap 39.

Van Alst was the ARCA Menards Series race winner in the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway. After flirting with a championship-caliber season, Van Alst’s full-time ARCA run came to an end due to funding issues.

Van Alst then began to moonlight in NASCAR Xfinity Series events for Alpha Prime Racing and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events with Young’s Motorsports.
