The second leg of “The Trip” is completed and it is rookie Zane Smith who outlasted the competition to score the $50,000 bonus payday from Gander RV & Outdoors.

Smith led 50 of the 200 laps en route to the victory in Friday’s KDI Office Technology 200 at Dover International Speedway.

The 21-year old crossed the start finish line nearly one second ahead of Matt Crafton for the win.

Brett Moffitt, Todd Gilliland and Ben Rhodes capped off the top-five finishers in the race, while Johnny Sauter, Tyler Ankrum, Austin Hill, Stewart Friesen and Derek Kraus rounded out the top-10 finishers.

The race was decently tame, but a caution with seven laps left for a spinning Friesen brought out the yellow and gave Crafton and Moffitt another chance at Smith.

However, the rookie was just too good and powered to the win.
