Video: Contact Between Ryan Sieg and Parker Kligerman Triggers 10-Car Wreck at Talladega

It was inevitable…

On the 66th lap of Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, the first multi-car accident of the afternoon erupted entering the first corner, collecting several strong vehicles, including Brandon Jones in the JR Motorsports No. 9 Chevrolet.

The cause of the accident was innocent, as Parker Kligerman went to move into the middle lane, but made contact with Ryan Sieg who was moving up the racetrack, sending both drivers colliding and into Brandon Jones.

Jones was then hooked into the outside wall in front of the majority of the pack, collecting several others as his Chevrolet slid down the racetrack, including Jeremy Clements, Kyle Weatherman, Leland Honeyman, Matt DiBenedetto, Ryan Truex, AJ Allmendinger, and Sam Mayer among others.

Jones (No. 9), Truex (No. 20), Clements (No. 51), and Mayer (N0.. 1) were forced to retire from the event, while the others were able to continue with minimal damage.
