Garrett Smithley and the No. 4 JD Motorsports team will have a new look on their No. 4 Chevrolet Camaro for this weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco Uniforms 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Hoffmann Group will serve as the primary sponsor for the effort.
This partnership will mark the first primary sponsorship on a NASCAR race car for the company that offers precision cutting tools, hand tools, and storage solutions to its clients.
Smithley, 31, is elated to be carrying the orange and white colors this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Hoffmann Group for this exciting race at Charlotte Motor Speedway,” said Smithley in a team release. “Their expertise and passion for delivering exceptional tools to professionals worldwide mirrors our own commitment to achieving greatness on the track. This partnership represents a significant step forward for both of our organizations, and we look forward to achieving great things together.”
Smithley, who has made 151 starts over the course of his NASCAR Xfinity Series career, has had a rough-luck 2023 campaign. The racer has failed to qualify for five events, and has driven for three different organizations this year.
However, Smithley recorded his best finish of the season at Talladega Superspeedway, a 16th-place effort, a few races ago. If the racer and his No. 4 team could find some luck this weekend, there is a chance they could walk out of Charlotte with their best finish of 2023.
