Brandon Jones will be back in the No. 19 NASCAR Xfinity Series car for Joe Gibbs Racing In 2020 according to a report from Frontstretch’s Dustin Albino, which cites multiple sources.

Jones has driven for JGR since 2018.

Although the 22-year old is still seeking his first win in Xfinity Series competition, Jones does have a best finish of second which came at Talladega last season.

Jones had an abysmal start to the 2019 campaign, which was mired by seven DNF’s (Did Not Finish) in the first 19 races of the season.

This miserable start is what sparked rumors that Jones could be out at JGR in 2020.

However, over the last eight races Jones has become much more consistent.

He has finished 11th-or-better in six races during this latest stretch and he even recorded a third-place finish at Las Vegas.

Jones sits ninth in the NXS Championship standings and is competing in the opening round of the 2019 Playoffs.
