Kyle Weatherman – driver of the No. 47 Mike Harmon Racing Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series — will be driving in style this Friday Night at Bristol Motor Speedway, with a new helmet designed by Off Axis Paint and donated by Rich Mar Florist.

Weatherman is currently in  the midst of the best season of his NASCAR Career, as the 23-year-old earned his first top-ten finish across NASCAR’s top-three series earlier this season with an 8th-place run at Kentucky Speedway.

Last month, just hours after Weatherman earned a top-20 finish at Daytona International Speedway’s Road Course, Mike Harmon Racing’s trailer, containing the No. 47 car, pit box, tool box and all of the team’s equipment, was stolen from the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel in Kingsland, Georgia.

One of the items that were stolen with the trailor, was Weatherman’s helmet, an item which the Wentzville, Missouri-native needs when he straps into the No. 47 every weekend.

When NASCAR sponsor Rich Mar Florist and Off Axis Paint heard what had happened, they decided to purchase and design a new helmet for Weatherman, which will debut when the NASCAR Xfinity Series takes the track on Friday Night at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Rich Mar Florist is no stranger to the costs associated with NASCAR competition, as the Pennsylvania-based florist recently announced a partnership with Dover International Raceway to provide floral arrangements at Dover’s high traffic areas, like the camping areas, suites and victory lane. Rich Mar Florist has also been primary sponsor for Garrett Smithley, Spencer Boyd and Stefan Parsons across all three of NASCAR’s National Series.

“Racing is family, and when we heard [Kyle] Weatherman’s personal items were stolen, we wanted to do something to step in and help out,” said Jonathan Morrissey, co-owner of Rich Mar Florist. “With the help of Off Axis [Paint] we made a great situation out of a bad one. We know the expenses that go into racing.”

“Really honored to represent the Rich Mar [Florist] Racing Colors,” Weatherman said. “I can’t wait to have the sweet looking paint from Off Axis [Paint] this weekend in Bristol.”

The sweet looking paint was done by Off Axis Paint’s Mike Sauers.

The Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway will take place on Friday, September 18th, at 7:00 PM / EST. The race will be broadcasted live on NBC Sports Network (NBCSN). Weatherman’s No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro is scheduled to start in 22nd-place.
