MBM Motorsports has revealed Joey Gase’s throwback paint scheme for the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Darlington Raceway. And it’s a pretty awesome blast from the past.

Gase will run a No. 35 car sponsored by Carolina Cooker, which looks just like one of the infamous Tabasco Fiasco paint schemes. This orange and black edition of the scheme first appeared in the 1998 Bud Shootout.

The Tabasco Fiasco was a car that was run by Bob Hancher’s race team through the mid 1998 season primarily with Todd Bodine as the driver. At the mid-point of the 1998 season, Tim Beverly took over ownership of the No. 35 Tabasco car and put Darrell Waltrip behind the wheel.

The best finish for the Tabasco car was a 10th-place effort in the spring Atlanta race in 1998.
