While Chandler Smith swept Stages 1 and 2 of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series The LiUNA! at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, it was his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate John Hunter Nemechek who dominated the race by leading a race-high 99 laps on his path to the victory.

Following the race, Nemechek’s race-winning No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Safeway/Albertsons Toyota Supra was subjected to post-race inspection, which it cleared with no issues. As a result, NASCAR has declared Nemechek and his team the official winners of the race.

This marks Nemechek’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series win of the 2024 season, and it is the 10th win of Nemechek’s NXS career. Nemechek will pilot the No. 42 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Toyota Camry in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event.

The No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro and No. 42 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro had one unsecured lug nut each in post-race inspection. Those infractions will result in a monetary fine for their crew chiefs.

No other issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means the results and standings from Saturday’s race are officially, official.

Polesitter Cole Custer was the official runner-up finisher in the No. 00 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford, and he was followed by Chandler Smith, Austin Hill, and Riley Herbst inside the top five.

AJ Allmendinger, Ryan Sieg, Sammy Smith, Brandon Jones, and Justin Allgaier rounded out the top-10 finishers in The LiUNA!

Hailie Deegan was the highest-finishing Rookie of the Year contender as she finished 15th in the No. 15 AM Racing Ford Mustang.
