Aric Almirola dominated Saturday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series National Debt Relief 250 at Martinsville Speedway as he won Stages 1 and 2, led 150 of 250 laps, and held off JR Motorsports driver Sammy Smith in the closing laps to take home the race win.

Following the win, the race-winning No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota GR Supra took a trip through post-race inspection, where the car was given a passing grade. As a result, NASCAR declared Almirola and his No. 20 team the official winners of the race.

Almirola’s third win of the season, and seventh career NASCAR Xfinity Series win, locked the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing team into the Championship 4 field for the 2024 NXS Owners’ Championship.

No issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings are now considered official. The four drivers, who will move on to compete for the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship next weekend at Phoenix Raceway are AJ Allmendinger, Justin Allgaier, Cole Custer, and Austin Hill.

The four drivers eliminated included Chandler Smith, Sammy Smith, Sam Mayer, and Jesse Love.
