Cole Custer’s No. 00 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford Mustang was the dominant horse for sure in Saturday’s Camping World 300 at Chicagoland Speedway. However, a bit of late-race pit strategy put Custer behind Michael Annett and Noah Gragson on the final restart of the race.

Turns out, that didn’t matter much. When the race went back green, Custer — who led a race-high 151 laps — knifed around the JR Motorsports duo to take the lead. Custer wouldn’t look back as he cruised to his fourth win of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Custer also collected another Playoff Point earlier in the race by winning Stage 1.

Joey Logano who started his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race of the season started from the pole and finished second. Logano also won Stage 2.

Christopher Bell finished the race in third, Annett held on for fourth, Brandon Jones rounded out the top-five finishers on Saturday.

Austin Cindric, Noah Gragson, Justin Haley, Ross Chastain and Tyler Reddick finished inside the top-10 as well.

For Reddick, he overcame a late-race unscheduled pit stop to finish top-10.
