For the first time in his NASCAR National Series career, Andrew Overstreet will be serving as a full-time crew chief.

Friday, on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Carson Kvapil confirmed that Andrew Overstreet will serve as crew chief of the No. 1 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025.

“Andrew Overstreet is going to be the crew chief,” said Kvapil. “He was [crew chief] for the fifth car, the No. 88, last year with me, [Connor] Zilisch, [Connor] Mosack, and [Bubba] Pollard. He’s moving up to full-time crew chief and Mardy [Lindley] is going to be Zilisch’s crew chief.”

Overstreet spent last season working as crew chief for the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, a part-time fifth entry for the organization, which was driven by Bubba Pollard, Connor Zilisch, Carson Kvapil, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and Connor Mosack.

“I think for me, it’s a good fit,” Kvapil added. “Me and Andrew [Overstreet] worked really well together last year, and I felt like we had a pretty good deal going there.”

As crew chief of the team’s fifth entry, Overstreet picked up his first career victory with Connor Zilisch at Watkins Glen, with six top-five and 10 top-10 results.

Speaking with Kelly Crandall and Larry McReynolds on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Kvapil also confirmed that Mardy Lindley, who worked with Sam Mayer and the No. 1 Chevrolet in 2024, would be moving to the No. 88 team to work with Connor Zilisch.

Lindley has spent the last two seasons as a crew chief in the second-tier series, working with Sam Mayer. In that time, the Taylors, South Carolina-native managed to secure seven wins, 19 top-five, and 30 top-10s.

Zilisch, who is signed to a development contract with NASCAR Cup Series team Trackhouse Racing, is among the top prospects in NASCAR. The Mooresville, North Carolina will run full-time with JR Motorsports in 2025, after a four-race Xfinity stint that produced three top-five finishes.

Kvapil and Zilisch, both of whom will compete for Rookie of The Year honors in 2025, make up two of the four drivers announced to be competing full-time for JR Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign begins Saturday, February 15 at Daytona International Speedway. Coverage of the entire 33-race campaign will be on The CW.
