What a race we saw this past weekend. And turns out, the frantic action on the track resulted in higher television ratings than the second race of the NASCAR Cup Series season in 2019.

The viewership numbers are in from Sunday’s NASCAR Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and the number of folks who tuned in for the race trended up by almost nine-percent from last season’s second race of the season, which was held at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, logged 5.5-million viewers and scored a 3.24 rating.

Last season’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta, recorded 5.067-million viewers and scored a 3.1 rating.

These figures come from showbuzzdaily.com.

This equates to a nearly nine-percent rise in viewership from 2019’s second NASCAR Cup Series race of the year.
