Sometimes in short track racing, emotions will get high when battling a competitor hard for a victory. That was exactly the case Sunday Night at Bristol, when Chase Elliott and Joey Logano crashed coming to two laps to go, battling for the victory of the Food City presents The Supermarket Heroes 500.

Both Logano and Elliott limped home the final two laps, to finish outside of the top-twenty in 21st and 22nd respectively, but to say Logano was not impressed with the way he was raced, would be a understatement.

A visually upset Logano walked up to Chase Elliott post-race, expressing his displeasure with the Dawsonville, Georiga-native about what went down in the late stages of the race, that saw both the AutoTrader Ford Mustang and the NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro finishing outside of the top-twenty in the finishing order.

After talking to Elliott, Logano then talked to FOX Sports pit reporter Vince Welch, expressing his displeasure about the incident saying “He wrecked me”, going on to say later in the interview that he had to “essentially force a apology from him”, which Logano described as “[Elliott] being childish”.

Later, Elliott was interviewed by FS1 in reference to the incident with Logano, to which Elliott had to say “I’ll certainly take the blame”, referencing the incident as hard racing, battling for the win in the closing laps at Bristol.

Certainly, this will be a interesting thing to watch over the coming weeks, as Chase Elliott has been on one end of two incidents in the recent weeks since NASCAR has returned, first with Kyle Busch turning the No. 9 around at Darlington Raceway and now the incident with Joey Logano at Bristol. This should make for a interesting couple of weeks for Elliott as one week from Wednesday the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Martinsville Speedway.
