With seven laps remaining in the opening Stage of Monday’s Daytona 500, William Byron was sent for a ride into the inside backstretch wall.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. made contact with the rear of Byron’s No. 24 Axalta Chevrolet to spark the incident.
Byron, who won his Duel race on Thursday and was running inside the top-10, is done for the day.
