Video: Trevor Bayne Triggers 14-Car Big-One Late in Xfinity Race at Atlanta

Trevor Bayne made a move that resulted in a 14-car crash late in Saturday’s Xfinity Series event at Atlanta. Screengrab from FS1 Broadcast.

Trevor Bayne has had a great return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Joe Gibbs Racing so far in 2022, but on lap 153 of Saturday’s Nalley Cars 250 at Atlanta, Bayne made a bad move and triggered a 14-car melee.

The big one started when Bayne attempted to clear himself when he wasn’t clear. He made contact with AJ Allmendinger, which shot him up the track. Bayne would come back down the track and the crash was on.

In all, 14 cars were involved. The drivers involved were: Bayne, Allmendinger, Alex Labbe, Josh Berry, Stefan Parsons, Justin Allgaier, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Noah Gragson, Sage Karam, Tommy Joe Martins, Jeb Burton, Ty Gibbs, Sam Mayer and Austin Hill.
