In possibly the coolest moment of the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, Richard Childress paced the field for the 1000Bulbs.com 500 at Talladega Superspeedway in the car that Dale Earnhardt won his 76th and final Cup Series race in.
Childress was doing great at being a pace car driver, until he hit the back stretch. Then, he went back into race car driver mode and opened up the No. 3 Goodwrench Service Plus Chevrolet Monte Carlo and sped away from the field.
What a moment we got to see Sunday at @TalladegaSuperS.
