Video: Quin Houff Gets Loose, Taps Wall, Makes Incredible Save in Cup Qualifying at Nashville

Quin Houff may need a new set of underwear before Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway, but there’s good news, he won’t need a brand new car.

In Sunday morning’s qualifying session, Houff got really loose in the middle of turns 1 and 2. Houff chased the car up the track, and as the No. 00 StarCom Racing machine kicked sideways, Houff made slight contact with the wall, but then was able to corral the machine.

The 23-year old aborted his qualifying run, so he will most likely start at the rear of the field for Sunday’s race (unless another driver has their qualifying time disallowed).

Houff will be making his 17th start of the 2021 season on Sunday. The Virginia-native’s best finsish so far this season was a 24th-place effort at Martinsville Speedway.
