If you came into this weekend at Martinsville expecting anything but chaos, you’ve made a mistake. With a number of drivers having the opportunity to win their way into the season-finale at Phoenix with a shot at the championship.

That was made evident with 50 to go in Saturday Night’s Dead On Tools 250 at Martinsville Speedway, when Noah Gragson got into the back end of race leader Ty Gibbs, sending the No. 54 Toyota Supra spinning in front of the pack. Unfortunately, Gibbs made significant contact with Harrison Burton.

Both cars were pretty heavily damaged and would continue on the track, but wounded. As far as Burton’s prospects for the championship, those looked to be over, as the No. 20 was not in winning condition.
