Not five seconds into the official start of the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, a multi-truck wreck was triggered at the start of the NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona.

Judging by the video footage, it appears that Tanner Gray couldn’t get his No. 15 DGR F-150 up to speed, almost as if there was an engine failure. Multiple trucks checked up, including James Buescher, Gus Dean, and a spinning Derek Kraus. The FOX Broadcast stated that Gray was discussing an issue with his truck coming to the green, but did not pull out of line.

Buescher’s truck was officially taken to the garage with damage and is out of the NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona. Dean, and Kraus came to pit road for repairs, and are continuing on.

Buescher was evaluated, and released from the infield care center.
