Video: Jimmie Johnson’s Bid For First Win of 2019, Smacks a Wall

FORT WORTH, Texas — Potentially Jimmie Johnson’s best chance at a victory in 2019 just resulted in the seven-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion slamming into the wall on lap 186.

Johnson, who led 40 laps in Stage 2 and looked to have a top-three car, lost control, nearly saved it, but then ultimately popped the wall.
