Kurt Busch’s day will end up in flames, after a significant impact to the inside wall off of the fourth corner at Darlington Raceway, as a result of contact with Matt DiBenedetto and Bubba Wallace.

Busch’s No. 1 Monster Energy Chevrolet slid into the inside wall on the third restart of the race’s second stage, after getting himself back on the lead lap at the end of stage one, after an alternate strategy.

The Las Vegas, Nevada-native entered today’s event already below the cutline for the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, a gap which will only become more apparent after the conclusion of today’s event.
