Video: “Motherf***er!” Clint Bowyer Not Happy After Major Stack Up on Restart

On a restart at Lap 61, the leaders were playing some games while navigating through the restart zone at Nashville Speedway, a major stackup happened beginning with ninth-place Chase Purdy.

As the leaders sped up, and then slowed down, Purdy reacted, and as he did, his Spire Motorsports teammate Clint Bowyer — who is making his first NASCAR start in four years — didn’t see what was happening, and he plowed into the rear of the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado.

Conner Jones would also slam into the rear of Bowyer’s truck, while several other trucks made contact in the outside lane. In the chaos, Dawson Cram, who is driving in place of Thad Moffitt in the No. 46 Faction46 entry, got turned by Lawless Alan, which sent him spinning through the infield grass.

After the incident, Bowyer queued up his radio, and angrily shouted, “God damnit!”

Bowyer would then say, “I’d say we’re done,” then would continue by asking, “Motherfucker! What happened? The fucker was jimmy-jacking the start bad.”

While the damage to Bowyer’s front end was bad, the driver and his No. 7 team were able to fashion tapes and repairs to get him back on track. As they run on Lap 77, Bowyer is sitting 24th on the lead lap.
