Hailie Deegan was involved in a nasty-looking multi-car accident at Bristol Motor Speedway while competing in the Cleetus & Cars Bristol 100 at Bristol Motor Speedway. No injuries were reported from the accident, or the event itself. Screenshot taken from event broadcast.

Hailie Deegan, a full-time driver in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for David Gilliland Racing, was among the cast of characters that competed in Sunday’s Cleetus & Cars Bristol 1000 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Sadly for Deegan, who will be racing at the 0.533-mile facility later this month with the NASCAR Truck Series, her chances at taking the victory ended after less than 20 laps, when she was involved in a multi-car accident.

While battling for the lead, Deegan, driving the No. 14 entry, was sent hard into the outside wall, after the vehicle to her inside was hooked exiting turn two, sending the top-three cars into the outside wall.

Multiple others were collected in the aftermath of the incident, when two cars came down the track in front of the entire pack, damaging quite a few others in the process.

There were no injuries reported from the multi-car accident, or from the event at all, as the Cleetus & Cars crew raced on the high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway for the first time, with their Nitrous-powered Crown Vic sedans.

Brad DeBerti – digital creator, TV personality, and professional driver – would go on to claim the victory in the Bristol 1000, driving his No. 70.

On Monday, Deegan released a 10-minute vlog titled “The Hardest Hit I Have Ever Had” where she documents her experience of competing in the Cleetus & Cars Bristol 1000 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

After the accident, Deegan tells the cameraman: “That was the hardest hit I’ve ever had.”

“I saw him get a little free, but it looked like he was saving it from my angle, you’ve got to keep in mind I’m really low in the car,” Deegan said about the accident. “My knees hit so much shit, and then the knee that I messed up at Millbridge, it hit the bottom of the steering column, that hurt so bad.”

While the damage to the outside of Deegan’s entry was significant, the video posted to YouTube continues to show the damage to the inside of the car, where the 21-year-old’s seat is beaten up, and not sitting in the proper position that it started the race in.
