Ty Majeski will have the prime position heading into Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway as he snagged the pole for the ever-important race on Friday afternoon.

Majeski’s pole-winning run was a 26.053 seconds (138.180 mph) lap time, which was good enough to take the pole over fellow Championship 4 contender Corey Heim by 0.030 seconds. Majeski, the driver of the No. 98 ThorSport Racing Ford F-150 indicated in Championship 4 Media Day that he was confident heading into the race due to his team’s past performances on this style of race track.

He backed that up with a pole. Now, the question becomes can he win?

Heim, who has six wins this season, narrowly missed out on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship last season, as he dominated the race, but then was wiped out of contention in a late-race crash with Carson Hocevar.

Stewart Friesen was the highest non-Championship 4 contender in the qualifying session as he’ll roll from the third starting spot in Friday night’s Championship Race.

Christian Eckes, and Grant Enfinger, the final two Championship 4 contenders will start from the fourth and fifth positions respectively.

Dean Thompson, Nick Sanchez, Kaden Honeycutt, Connor Mosack, and Chase Purdy rounded out the top-10 starting spots for Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race is set for Friday, November 8. That race will be televised on FS1 with coverage kicking off at 8:00 PM ET. The Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry the live radio call of the event.
